春 莭 快 樂!(Happy Spring!) That's just been celebrated here in China and I am very thankful for the 8 weeks' break. It was filled with many blessings (my family and friends came all the way to visit me in Asia, ate a lot of good food, and had a very good rest and relaxation time with family in Hong Kong). The best part is that I also got to escape the coldest time in TYN and enjoyed some warmer weather in HK. At the beginning of February I came back to my china home and continued with my language learning with my tutor. I also got a chance to experience the tail end of the Chinese New Year seeing lots of fireworks and saw the various lanterns displayed at the lantern festivals, not to mentioned that fireworks went off for two consecutive days so that the CNY would wrapped up with a truimphant bang! What a big difference as compared to what we have back home. I also saw two days of snow and saw children playfully stacking and building up snowmen along the streets since they were still on their winter break. Lastly, my good friends Anna and Bobby surprised me with the news of their spontaneous visit into Beijing, hence I had a wonderful brief visit with them and some other friends in Beijing a week ago. Beijing is such a different world from where I live, it was a treat to be there. Tomorrow (Feb. 24th) is back to reality as it is the first day for the new semester of language study. What will the new semester behold? I have no idea but I am certain that it will be a new beginning again. I Will keep you posted on this next leg of my journey. Until next posting...
May you have a wonderful Spring as well. Thank you for checking in on me.
